I favour small, understandable systems with clear ownership. That means treating the interface, the process behind it, and the operating constraints as parts of the same problem rather than separate disciplines.
What I care about
Useful software should reduce uncertainty. I care about making complex work legible, designing for the person doing the job, and building enough operational discipline that a product remains dependable after launch.
